Since 2003, the Federal Way Knights have proudly hosted one of the premier youth baseball tournaments in the Northwest—now known as the Summer Knights Classic. Each year, we welcome 8U–12U teams from across the region for a weekend filled with competitive baseball, great sportsmanship, and lasting memories. We’re looking forward to another unforgettable tournament experience!

Below you will find helpful documents and resources to prepare for your tournament weekend. If you have any questions, please contact our Tournament Director, Reuben Morales: info@fwknights.com

SUMMER KNIGHTS CLASSIC - OFFICIAL ROSTER

All teams are required to submit an official Summer Knights Roster before their first game. This must be completed using our tournament form—no exceptions—and must include all requested information, including a parent or legal guardian signature for each player (coaches may not sign for players). The roster should list every player who will participate in the tournament that week.

Failure to submit a completed roster prior to your first game will result in a forfeit. You may include more players on the roster than are present for the first game; however, no additional players may be added after the roster is submitted.

Teams must also carry a copy of each player's birth certificate—either a digital or hard copy—at all times during the tournament. These must be presented to the Site Director upon request. The Tournament Director reserves the right to declare any player ineligible until age can be verified.

We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to a fair tournament experience!

SUMMER KNIGHTS CLASSIC - PITCHING LOG

All teams (except 8U) are required to maintain an accurate Summer Knights Pitching Log throughout the tournament. This log must be available for review by tournament staff at any time—before, during, or after a game.

Each team is responsible for recording their own pitching information. At the conclusion of each game, a coach from the opposing team must review and sign off on the accuracy of the pitching log for that game.

Please note: Inning limits vary by age division and are summarized at the bottom of the pitching log form.

Pitching logs are not required for teams in the 8U division.

KNIGHTS OF COMPETITION

Don’t miss out on our 8U–10U Skills Competition happening Saturday afternoon! Events include Golden Arm and Road Runner, and will take place following the conclusion of all Pool Play games. To guarantee your players a spot, be sure to download and complete the sign-up sheet in advance, or pick one up from one of our Site Directors. It’s a great way for players to show off their skills and have some extra fun!

POOL PLAY & BRACKET SCHEDULE

Home and Away Designation
Home and away teams will be determined by a coin flip at the plate meeting prior to each pool play game, regardless of what is listed on the schedule. In bracket play, the higher seed will be the home team.

Schedules & Score Updates
Pool play results and game scores will be updated on Tourney Machine throughout the weekend. Brackets will be posted once pool play concludes. Please note: we will not be sending out phone calls or emails for updates, except in the case of weather delays or rescheduling.

We will make every effort to post printed brackets at each site location by Saturday afternoon once they are finalized.
